Flip horizontal bug

When selecting all layers and doing Edit - Flip horizontal (for flip canvas and save changes) I noticed that all I've painted went in different directions. It seems that each layer is flipping around its own center axis, not around the common axis of the canvas. It looks like that (two screenshots before-after, the third is my layer window):

Flip horizontal flips inherit of the layer center
For your task - use next:
1)select the required layers
2)Edit-Free transform
3)Click on the mirror button at the tool options panel to flip it all

Thanks, I found this solution long before this topic was approved.
But, I still don't understand what "edit - flip" command is for, if it works like that.
