Sorry for making two suggestion posts in such a short time. I just remembered all the other suggestions I had in mind. I'll keep this brief:

1. Selection feathering or adjustable anti-aliasing for the lasso tool. The anti-aliasing on the tool is still kind of sharp.
2. Rope/spring smoothing on the lasso tool.
3. Some kind of bezier curve ruler, similar to Lazy Nezumi's.

1) You can make feather by Menu-Selection-Refine edge

2)If you need so accurate selection you can draw the required figure by brush on a new layer and then "make selection" from this layer.

3)OK, that's a nice suggestion.
