Save resolution/resolution templates

Post by Tekmoti » Mon Jan 02, 2017 9:26 pm

Hi!

Everytime I open paintstorm it resets the DPI to 72 and my resolution goes to 1600x900, so I have to scale the canvas again everytime.

This time I did a painting and saved it, closed. Opened it again and the original resolution was 8 inches by 11 on 300DPI and it got changed to 72dpi thus around 600px, and I only noticed when I uploaded it and it was 600px.... please make a feature to save different resource bases so I dont have to insert numbers everytime, and save the last resolution used too!

thanks for reading.

Paintstorm don't resize anything, if you create 10x10 inches canvas with 300dpi = 3000x3000px and save it to JPG - it will be still 3000px but 72dpi because JPG doesn't store DPI information.

Paintstorm can open DPI information in PSD created in Photoshop, what soft do you use to create PSD?

Same here, the canvas resolution need more customizable like "add new preset" or etc.
also the maximum canvas size (64 to 7000px) is a problem for an artist who make a super height canvas (e.g webcomic, etc)

You can create canvas at other soft and open it by Paintstorm, but if it too big Paintstorm can crashes.

It depends on memory, for example at my PC Paintstorm opens 10000x10000px PSD, but crashes with 12000px

hey there!

Found it pretty cool that you added the templates! If I can suggest one more thing, can you add a button that switch Width for Height so we can paint in portrait instead of landscape if we want to change?

I think better to add function to rotate whole canvas to 90 degrees :)

What happen with my memory ? I'm working at 30000px and it's no problem with other software, sorry but I think it's the software, not the hardware
