question on saving

hello, does this program have a feature to quick save over a file without the need for the save as window? I've tried both "save" and "save as" but I still get a pop up window...if that's the case, then what's the difference between them? (if you don't know what I'm talking about I meant the same way things are saved quickly in paint tool sai...)
