Re: linux : using wine rather than linux version
Thanks for this post, as, along with this post then seeing another re using v2.10 may be best for xp-pen, I've found pressure works on DECO 01 via running PSS via wine. All working perfectly, as you say. Some very interesting multi-coloured tints on imported PSDs from Krita, but maybe there are some...

Re: Does the linux version support non wacom tablets?
Not to go against Support's answer, but I've just found that the DECO 01 I bought via Amazon UK works with pressure. I'm using Anarchy and Mate, Zen kernel, wine-staging and mesa, and run a light GTK system generally. Battery-less stylus, not passive. Running AMD desktop; amdgpu/ATI. Installed on sy...

Re: new budget wacom 16 question
That's great! :-) Certainly a very good device. I actually sent mine back, as the screen was a bit too small (I'm used to the big Ugee 2150 screen) plus I discovered colour calibration is rather difficult on Linux. I could have fixed it/got help, but the return collection happened early, just as I w...

Re: new budget wacom 16 question
Received a very helpful response on github, saying that the new Cintiq 16 is supported by generic kernel driver upstream, and depending on kernel, needs either generic or backports driver. :D Still out of stock on Amazon (UK) but can order to get in the queue for when they're back in, which I've don...

Re: new budget wacom 16 question
Thanks ArmorWraith :) Glad your tablets work, and thanks for assurances about the new Wacom 16 most likely being okay. I've asked on github and waiting for a response about whether the linux-wacom driver needs updating for this device. If PSS does just read the driver and applies whatever it finds, ...

new budget wacom 16 question
Hello :-) I'm heading towards buying the new budget wacom 16 ( https://uk-store.wacom.com/Product/wacom-cintiq-16#/undefined1 ), as the Ugee connections are getting loose after over 2 years. Also, am now on Manjaro KDE, and was surprised to find Paintstorm in the AUR, which installs great ... versio...

I've found the answer ... thanks for the Paintstorm Notes pdf
(selected with lasso)
choose selection/color range
play with sliders and invert ... goes to transparent
then duplicate, and the duplicated layer is transparent and can be exported
export as png/psd

'colour to alpha' for traditional scanned art import?
Hello
Is it possible to import a scan of traditional art, and remove all but the actual image/lines?

Re: Excessive idle CPU usage on linux + pressure sensitivity detection issue
Hey Cestarian :-) I've just installed Manjaro KDE (latest version from yesterday) and noticed Paintstorm is in the aur ... and it installed perfectly! Manjaro is just incredible! I'd tried a year ago and had too many issues, but this install, and being able to run the things needed, has been really ...
